Did you know that papertoys are all the rage? Especially for designers?

Now there’s a papertoy book for kids! Papertoy Monsters is a paper-folding book designed by Brian Castleforte (creator of nicepapertoys.com) and 24 of the top papertoy designers from around the world. The book’s die cut papertoys allow kids to pop out, fold and glue 50 cute, fiendish monsters.

Filled with colorful and quirky anime designs on card stock with paper stock, this engaging book is just right for 9 – 12 year olds. All monsters have their own story, such as Yucky Chuck, the lunchbox creature born in the deepest depths of your school bag. (I think he’s real though!)

Squidbeak (pictured below) is a monster who likes zapping things and bodysurfing and dislikes scientists, gamma rays and top secret experiments. Isn’t he cute?

We made our own Icy Huggy shown here. What do you think?

WIN a copy of Papertoy Monsters! E-mail your name and address (to make book delivery faster) to deborah.mock@parenthood.com with “Papertoy Monsters” in the subject line. We will randomly select one lucky winner to receive a copy of the book. Deadline for entry is midnight MST on March 21, 2011.
