Lights Out, Night’s Out

April 26, 2010

Lights Out, Night’s Out
written by William Boniface
illustrated by Milena Kirkova
Accord Publishing, 2009

Catchy rhyming text accompanies these moving pictures about nocturnal animals. Move the page or turn the page of this book and you’ll see nocturnal animals awake and in motion. (It’s kind of addictive.)

Move the page back and forth, back and forth the raccoon runs forward, backward, forward, backward; the spider bounces down,up, down, up; the hamster sprints around, around.  The grasshopper jumping . . . You get the idea.

Told you it was addictive!

Book Play: Read the back cover to learn interesting facts about the nocturnal animals in Lights Out, Night’s Out.  Then, see how many of the animal sounds you can make.  Turn out the lights and pretend you are one of the nocturnal animals. Wake up and get busy with your “day”.
